Retired Engineer

Brendan Wilkinson was born in Gippsland. Growing up in Churchill, he attended Gippsland Institute of Advanced Education (GIAE) in Churchill. The Latrobe Valley coal mines and power stations were part of the landscape.

He has an engineering background and has worked in the computer manufacturing industry at IBM Wangaratta and the paper manufacturing industry at Opal Australian Paper Maryvale.

Brendan is passionate about the repurposing of the Latrobe Valley coal mine and other assets of the brown coal electricity generation industry for the economic, environmental and social benefit for the Latrobe Valley community.

We have an opportunity to make the Latrobe Valley a better place for all.
