Connector, Ideas Generator, Thinker

My Husband and I arrived in the Latrobe Valley from Melbourne in 1987/88 with four children, all school age. As an "at home" Mum you were called on to provide community support in many ways so there have been numerous roles filled over the years with the valuable assistance, guidance and friendship of wonderful people.

  • the Save the Moe Hospital Group (Chair)

  • People Together Project (Convenor, Moe)

  • Moe Development Group (President)

  • Latrobe Chamber of Commerce (Member)

  • Growing Together Latrobe (Chair)

  • ReActivate Latrobe (Member)

Currently, along with a talented Team, with significant and appropriate skills, together, we are championing the transformation of the Latrobe Valley's former coal mines into a thriving, multi-use regional park. With a commitment to positive land repurposing, we lead with advocacy and community-driven solutions to regenerate mine-affected landscapes to be reclaimed, renewed and reimagined for the benefit of future generations, creating lasting public benefit across the Latrobe Valley/Gippsland and Victoria.

As President of Great Latrobe Park, I've worked alongside community members, scientists, mining people and decision-makers to reimagine how we heal and repurpose landscapes shaped by coal.

This is more than land rehabilitation - it's about legacy, vision and giving future generations a reason to stay, explore and thrive in the Latrobe Valley/Gippsland I believe deeply in community-led solutions and the power of persistence. Great Latrobe Park isn't just a project - it's a promise that we can do better with what we leave behind.

But . . . we cannot do this on our own. Each of you needs to "own" this vision, talk about it to family and friends, put a sign on your fence of support, take it to your footy and basketball clubs. Spread the word. Get excited about the possibilities. Demand action. This is your future.
